1. Cordova

Created by Nitobi, Apache Cordova forms one of the popular mobile app development platforms. After the purchase of Nitobi by Apache it was rebranded as PhoneGapthen was finally named Apache Cordova. Instead of platform-specific APIs Cordova encourages the developers to be dependent on HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript for building their applications.
